Sponsorship of Roundabouts in Kilkenny City
Following numerous requests from local businesses Kilkenny County Council will permit the sponsorship of roundabouts in Kilkenny City in return for placement of commercial advertising signage. It is proposed that the sponsorship of roundabouts will be on a multi-annual basis with an initial sponsorship period of 3 years which can be extended by agreement by up to 2 years. Funding raised from the sponsorship of roundabouts will be used to enhance and maintain roundabouts, support festivals such as St. Patrick’s Festival and Yulefest and contribute to sustainable initiatives that enhance the local environment and support climate action.
There are 25 roundabouts in Kilkenny City that have been identified as being capable of accommodating commercial signage and are therefore available for sponsorship. There is no limit on the number of roundabouts that can be sponsored by a single business/organisation.
