#careerskilkenny2024 February 3rd
A large crowd gathered at St. Canice’s Cathedral last Saturday 3rd February for the #careerskilkenny2024 event run by Kilkenny County Council. The event was officially opened by Cathaoirleach Cllr. Michael Doyle and Kilkenny County Council Chief Executive Lar Power and aimed to showcase the variety and quality of jobs on offer throughout the County.
Opening the event Cathaoirleach Cllr. Michael Doyle commented on the wonderful range of employers showcased at the event with opportunities available across manufacturing, public service, IT and hospitality. He went on to say ‘the event not only showcases the great range of employers in Kilkenny but also that Kilkenny is a offers a great work life balance’.
Almost 40 companies with high quality jobs on offer in the County were on hand to offer attendees a chance to find out more about the roles and opportunities on offer in their companies.
In addition, guest speaker Dermot Whelan offered advice on managing stress in our lives, while Optimize Recruitment ran clinics providing advice on CV writing and interview skills.
Kilkenny County Council Chief Executive Lar Power noted on the day “the careerskilkenny event is a great opportunity for anyone looking to change or grow their career, and Kilkenny is a fantastic location to do it in.
